BICREF Summer Seminars for the public and new BICREF members:

Conservation of Areas and Species – A Success!

BICREF dedicated a whole day event at Ghajn Tuffieha, focusing on the importance, conservation biology and requirements for effective management of conservation areas and threatened species.

 Morning seminars from expert speakers were followed by field work on land and sea.

Persons with various backgrounds but with a keen interest in dedicating time and effort to our natural environment joined BICREF on this day.

Gaia foundation hosted the morning activities and generously prepared an organic lunch for the participants!

Participants learned about various marine related topics including blue fin tuna, marine biodiversity, animal behaviours, conservation research and monitoring techniques. Last but not least the impacts of Climate change on Biodiversity!
